Pasta Shells - Stuffed

Made a bolognese sauce a couple weeks ago. Naturally, when you make it, it's not just for one meal.

Froze some and made these shells with it.
Another crazy good meal.

This recipe only details the making of the stuffed shells. See my bolognese sauce recipe.

Ingredients

Box of shell pasta
Ricotta – 454 gr container or more
2 eggs – beaten
Fresh basil, or dried basil or parsley
Salt and Pepper
Mozzarella cheese
Fresh Parmesan cheese – grated
Bolognese sauce

Preheat oven to 350.

 

  1. Cook shells al denti and rinse immediately under cold water.

  2. Mix ricotta, eggs, basil, salt, and pepper together.

  3. Cover the bottom of your pan with some Bolognese sauce.

  4. Stuff the shells and place in the pan. Add more sauce over the shells.

  5. Cover with fresh mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper.

  6. Cover pan with foil.

  7. Bake 35 min. covered, and another 10-15 min. uncovered to crisp it up.
