Ribs... Melt in Your Mouth... My Way...
Made these for the Kiddo for her 2014 Birthday. Yep, that's *her* picking. Touche Pas means "Don't Touch". She can't help herself!
Truly yummie, and zero calories... LOL
As usual, I made too many, as you can tell. Thank gawd, I was able to give some to the kiddo to bring back home!!!
Ingredients
3 lbs. ribs
3 tbsp. molasses
3 tbsp. corn syrup
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 cup strong tea – like Red Rose
1 tbsp. garlic seeds (I use garlic power)
1/2 cup soya sauce
1. Prepping and boiling the ribs...
Trim some fat from the ribs. Cut them in 2-3 ribs.
Place them in a pot with cold water, enough to cover them all.
Start by boiling them and skim the fat that surfaces. This might take 5 min. Then simmer for 1 hour.
Drain, and set aside. Water is no longer needed.
2. Making the sauce...
In a large sauce pan, mix all ingredients (excluding the ribs) and cook over medium heat.
When boiling, cook for 3 min. Watch it as it might boil over.
Remove from heat and pour over ribs.
In my case, because I had sooooo many ribs, I tripled the sauce.
Serve with rice, of course!
Compliments to Chef Aline!
