Tomato Sauce with Minute Steak and Italian Sausage

Minute steak (or beef or veal stewing meat)
Oil and butter
Flour

Pound meat slightly, flour on both sides, and sauté in oil and butter. Remove from pan and set aside.

 

In pan, add:
3-4 Italian sausages – cut in bite pieces
1 green (or red or yellow) pepper – chopped
1 onion – chopped

Sauté slowly until brown. Return steak to pan. Raise heat and add the following ingredients:

1 1/2 tbsp. tomato paste
1 can chopped tomatoes
Garlic, parsley, basil, salt, pepper, paprika
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup white wine

Mix and simmer about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Keep adding some water when liquid evaporates.
Add a pinch of sugar.

Can be served with pasta or on its own.
