Tuna Fish Sauce

 

A Kiddo favourite, and these pictures are actually from the Kiddo making it.

Ingredients

Oil (and butter)
1 can tuna fish (or 2 if you love it thick)
¾ can plum tomatoes (broken up) or a can of diced tomatoes
2-3 anchovies (omit if your not a fan)
Parsley – chopped
Garlic – minced
2-3 oz white wine
Black olives – chopped
Capers, basil, paprika, salt and pepper

 

The makinf of...

  1. Add a bit of oil in fry pan, add tuna and anchovies. Sauté lightly.

  2. Add parsley and garlic and continue to sauté for 2 min.

  3. Add remaining ingredients and simmer ½ hour or until thicken.

  4. Cook pasta and when done, pour directly in the sauce.

  5. Mix and serve with lots of fresh Parmigiana.

 

Serve with linguine or the like. In these pictures, penne was used.

 

Variations can be made... with or without anchovies, and herbs to your liking.
